Scott Sadowsky Scott Sadowsky is Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the Catholic University of Chile (Santiago, Chile) and Research Associate at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History's Department of Linguistic and Cultural Evolution (Jena, Germany). His research focuses on phonetics, sociolinguistics, language contact and corpus linguistics, and is centered on Chilean Spanish and Mapudungun.

In addition to performing the phonetic analysis and part of the post-processing, he carried out the fieldwork in Junín de los Andes, Ingeniero Jacobacci and Lago Rosario in Argentina (together with Paul Heggarty), as well as in the Chilean localities of Curarrehue, Chol Chol, Dollinco, Puerto Saavedra, Freire and San Juan de la Costa.
   
Paul Heggarty Paul Heggarty is senior scientist at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History's Department of Linguistic and Cultural Evolution in Jena, Germany, and was formerly senior scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany. His research centers on how languages can contribute to our understanding of the human past, and is carried out in close cooperation with archaeologists, geneticists and linguists.

He developed the algorithms and software for measuring phonetic distances and performed the fieldwork in Junín de los Andes, Ingeniero Jacobacci and Lago Rosario and Curarrehue (together with Scott Sadowsky). He also heads up Sounds of Mapudungun's mother project, Sounds of the Andean Languages.
   
María José Aninao María José Aninao is a Spanish teacher who graduated from the Universidad de La Frontera. She plans to pursue an M.A. in Linguistics with a focus on the phonetics and phonology of monolingual Mapuche Spanish, as well as Spanish-Mapudungun contact phenomena.

She performed the fieldwork in Lonquimay, Lumaco, Tirúa, Galvarino, Cunco, Ercilla, Vilcún, Victoria, Cañete, Villarrica and San Pablo in Chile, as well as Chalileo, Zapala, Huiliches, Aluminé, Picunches, Futaleufú and Cushamen in Argentina.
   
María Isabel Cayunao María Isabel Cayunao Nahuelcheo is a Speech and Language Therapy student at the Universidad de La Frontera.

She performed the fieldwork in Truf Truf, Nueva Toltén, Panguipulli and Ralco Lepoy.
   
Matías Muñoz Quichiyao Matías Muñoz Quichiyao is a Speech and Language Therapy student at the Universidad de La Frontera. He's interested in language research and treatment within SLT. After graduating, he plans to pursue a graduate degree and teach.

He performed the fieldwork in Antilhue (Valdivia) and San José de la Mariquina.

   
María Ignacia Fuentes Burgos María Ignacia Fuentes Burgos is a Speech and Language Therapy student at the Universidad de La Frontera. Her interests are focused on linguistics and sociolinguistics, especially the tendency of SLT in Chile to pathologize social and ethnic language variation. After graduation she plans to work for a time and then pursue a graduate degree.

She did the fieldwork in Antilhue (Lanco), and also works on the post-processing of fieldwork recordings.
   
Erik Farías Castro Erik Farías Castro is a Speech and Language Therapy student at the Universidad de La Frontera. After graduation, he plans to pursue a master's degree related to SLT and work towards incorporating patients' social and economic characteristics in the diagnosis and treatment of speech and language pathologies in Chile.

He performed the fieldwork in Icalma, and works on the post-processing of fieldwork recordings.
   
Catalina Sandoval Muñoz Catalina Sandoval Muñoz is a Speech and Language Therapy student at the Universidad de La Frontera with an interest in language and neurorehabilitation.

She works on the post-processing of fieldwork recordings.
   
Margaret Mora Margaret Mora Ortega is a Speech and Language Therapy student at the Universidad de La Frontera. Her interests include adult speech and language use and neurorehabilitation of language disorders.

Jakob Runge Jakob Runge is a student assistant at MPI-EVA, and is majoring in Computer Science at the University of Leipzig.
